Karen Davidson and Julie Field established K.A.S. Care in October 1999 and started operating an After School Care programme from a class room at Te Mata Primary School in Havelock North.

The role started with 11 children and continued to grow. It wasn’t long before they were asked to provide care in the Hastings community, and another centre was opened.

They quickly outgrew this centre and they now have 4 centres operating, 3 in the Hastings area and the original one still going in Havelock North, at a relocated venue.

Julie and Karen have a passion for children,and have always maintained a philosophy that incorporated the nurturing and well-being of every child providing them with life experiences and challenges within a stimulating environment.
