At our Mahora centre, we have both St Marys School & Mahora School children attend. You can see as soon as you walk into the hall, the friendship and great relationships the children have made between the two school communities.

We pride ourselves on interacting and enjoying the children’s company, and so offer them a variety of daily art and craft activities and opportunities to keep them occupied throughout the afternoon. Homework time is made available and there is a reward chart for the children to contribute to once their homework is done for the day. We promote a positive environment and have our daily awesome awards presentation, which is a certificate for children ‘caught being good’ and they go into a weekly draw to win a treat!

    • Children will be encouraged to participate in planned activities, but may choose not to. Whenever possible, alternative activities will be provided.
    The programme plan will be child focused, varied, stimulating and challenging. The plan should aim to meet the physical needs of every child.
    Equipment will be well maintained and activities will be age appropriate.
    The programme contents will be reviewed every 4 weeks at staff meetings.

Hours & Fees

Operating Hours:

Monday to Friday 2.30pm-5.30pm

Charges of care:

$8.50 per child 1st hour minimum

Thereafter $3.50 per half hour session

Transport: $2.00 per child per day where applicable

Casual Rates:

$9.00 per child 1st hour minimum

Thereafter $3.75 per half hour session

Charges of care for Families who are eligible for a WINZ subsidy are available on request.

Payment and Invoicing:

Fees are pre paid weekly in advance.

Absences will incur normal fees, unless 2 weeks notification has been given in writing.

For all causal bookings, payment is required on receipt of invoice.

Accounts can be paid by internet banking or paid at the centre.

(No eftpos or change is available)

Any overdue accounts may incur a penalty fee if not paid in full every month.

Collection Point

Children from Mahora School are met at the school hall by our friendly staff.
Staff meet children from St Marys at the collection point outside the office and walked to the centre.

Parents will be rung as soon as possible if any child is absent without notification.

It is the responsibility of the parent to contact us prior to lunch time on the day if the care to their child or children changes.
